About
Us
Creative
Music Academy Ltd was started in October 2003
After building Creative Rehearsal Studios at
Middleton
Hall for local
bands to practice their music we were
asked on numerous occasions if we
could arrange drum
and guitar lessons within our studios.
This we did and very
soon realized that we had found
another
niche market that would compliment our already
thriving rehearsal
studio.
Another unit came up on the same estate which we took over.
We refurbished and kitted out the unit to a very high standard and
applied the same methods to the new academy as we had with the
rehearsal studio.
Our Tutors are hand picked by us and chosen for their musical and performance expertise and also their knowledge of the music industry.
We only pick the best tutors that compliment our team, they must be professional, knowledgeable, friendly, approachable and fun, our tutors must also hold a current CRB certificate.
By applying this method to our academy we have become the leading private music teaching facility in the south of Essex.
We currently teach about 200 customers per week with about 25% having been with us since the beginning.
We teach people of all ages from 6 years upwards.
Our lessons can be as long as you like in multiples of 1/2 hours, most people go for 1/2 hour or 1 hour lessons every week.
The first time you come to us the first lesson is a FREE taster lesson, if you like it you can book up for more.
We will teach you what ever you want, whether you want to aim towards graded examinations or just learn your favorite songs, its up to you, you are in control!
We currently teach,
Acoustic Guitar
Electric Guitar
Classical Guitar
Bass Guitar
Piano
Keyboard
Drums
Vocal/Singing
Other instruments will be added as we get a demand for them.
Once upon a time it was usual practice to have your
lessons recorded onto tape.
The benefits of recording your
lessons are many:
- It is a good study aid that can be played where ever you are.
- You can keep a library of you lessons which you can go back to any time and recap.
- It is also a good reference for you to chart how well you are progressing.
These days though, tape is not really used any more.
For quite a few years there has not been a suitable medium to record
lessons
in real-time.
CD's have been unsuitable due to the size of the equipment and also the
fact that once the lesson has been recorded it takes time to mix down
and
record onto CD.
We
now have the technology.
We now can record your lessons (In real-time) onto your
iPod, MP3
player or USB storage device.
Each lesson can be recorded with no fuss (You will just need to make
sure that there is enough space on your device to record your lesson)
The recording can be recorded in MP3 format at what ever quality you
would like 128kbps (MP3) is the norm or WAV (CD Quality).
Please Note: Most MP3 players will not play WAV files and they will
take up a huge amount of space on your device.
The great thing about recording into MP3 format is that you can upload
the lesson onto your computer at home, keep a library and play back
when ever you like.
The recording process in your lesson will pick up everything that goes
on in the lesson, Your instrument, the tutors instrument, the tutor
talking to you, everything.
If you are learning scales on your guitar for instance the tutor can
lay down a backing track for you to play against..
The Possibilities are endless.
At the time of writing as far as we know we are the only
music school
in the UK that can do this!
